SportsLine claims its projection model has generated nearly $19,000 in profit for a $100 player on top-rated NBA picks since 2018. The model reports five consecutive seasons of four-digit profit in that market. It enters the 2026-27 season with a 26-11 record on top-rated spread picks, a win rate of 70%, dating back to the previous campaign.

Wednesday's 14-game NBA slate follows a league-wide rest on Election Day. The centerpiece is the matchup between the Philadelphia 76ers and the Detroit Pistons. These are the two teams with the best records in the Eastern Conference. The 76ers hold a 7-1 start, while the Pistons sit at 6-1.

The model backs the Pistons to win at home. It projects Detroit to defeat Philadelphia in 62% of 10,000 simulations. Cade Cunningham, who finished fifth in the previous season's MVP voting, scored a season-high 33 points on Monday against the Hornets. That performance helped Detroit win by 33 points. The Pistons have won both of their two home games this season by eight points.

Detroit also defeated Philadelphia 106-93 on Oct. 27. In that game, Cunningham scored 26 points, and the Pistons held the 76ers to 40% shooting from the field. The 76ers shot 26% from three-point range in that loss. The Pistons ranked third in the league for scoring defense last year.

In college football, the model selects Sacramento State as a 25.5-point underdog against Toledo at 7 p.m. ET on Wednesday. The Hornets are playing in their first FBS season. They recently defeated Kent State 31-10, their first conference win in that era. The model projects Sacramento State to cover the spread in 74% of simulations.

Toledo is the superior team but has failed to cover the spread in two of its recent games as a double-digit favorite. One of those games was a 23-8 loss to Buffalo. Sacramento State forced five turnovers against Kent State, a factor that influences the projection for the matchup on CBS Sports Network.

SportsLine NFL expert R.J. White offers a pick for Sunday's game between the Green Bay Packers and the New England Patriots. White notes that the Packers will get extra rest to heal. He points to the Packers' defense holding the Cowboys, Lions, and Panthers to 20 points or less in three straight games.

White observes that the Patriots' recent offensive success has come against weak defensive opponents. He notes that the Patriots allowed 26 points or more to the Jaguars, Bills, and Bears. He plans to take the Packers by 3 points before the line moves higher. The Packers are listed as a 3-point underdog in that matchup.

BetMGM offers new users $150 in bonus bets if their first bet wins, or up to $1,500 in bonus bets if their qualifying wager loses. The offer depends on location. Combining the Pistons, Sacramento State, and Packers picks into a single wager yields potential odds of +548. Bettors can risk $100 to profit $548 on that combined bet.

BetMGM provides tools for responsible gaming, including live chat, gaming limits, and timeout options. It also lists contact information for the helpline 1-800-MY-RESET, which is available by phone or text 24 hours a day. The next scheduled games include the full NBA slate and the college football matchup at 7 p.m. ET.
