Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs faces three additional abuse allegations, according to police records released by the Hobart/Lawrence Police Department on Friday night. The documents, provided to NBC 26, outline separate incidents described by women who contacted investigators after Jacobs' initial arrest in late May 2026.
Jacobs was charged with five counts in May: battery, criminal damage to property, and disorderly conduct related to domestic abuse, plus strangulation, suffocation, and intimidation. The strangulation charge was a felony, while the other four were misdemeanors. He surrendered three days after the incident and was released after one night in custody. His legal team had previously denied the allegations.
One woman contacted police in June, describing a January 2022 incident. She stated that Jacobs slapped her, threw her phone into a pool, and pinned her to a bed. She also reported that he grabbed her by the throat and said, "I should kill you right now." She remained friends with Jacobs and did not report the event at the time.
A second woman described an April 2021 encounter in which Jacobs pushed her against a wall and threw her belongings outside. She claimed bruising on her arms and swelling in her rib area. Police records from that time noted that responding officers observed no visible signs of injury or damage.
A third woman reported a May 2022 incident where Jacobs dragged her, scratched her chest, and took her phone. She said she suffered bruising but did not seek medical treatment or file a report because she was not a U.S. citizen and Jacobs told her she could be deported.
The released records also expanded details on the May 2026 incident. Police noted Jacobs pinned the woman to a bed and covered her mouth and nose. The woman indicated she may have lost consciousness after being thrown to the ground in a garage. The NFL stated Saturday that it is reviewing these allegations as part of its ongoing investigation. Jacobs has played in his last two games after spending six weeks on the commissioner exempt list.
The police department released footage of the arrest but denied requests for video of the May 2026 incident itself. The investigation remains open.
