Real Madrid players will face a busy schedule before the next international break after securing their sixth straight win. The team beat Racing Santander 3-0 at El Sardinero on Sunday. This victory confirms a strong run of form under manager Jose Mourinho.
The winning streak began at the Santiago Bernabéu with a 1-0 win over Villarreal. Yan Diomande scored that goal while Vinicius served a four-match suspension. The team then won away games against Roma (4-3), Barcelona (2-1), and Racing. They also recorded large home victories against Sevilla (4-1) and RB Leipzig (4-1). This sequence restored stability after early doubts following a derbi loss to Atletico Madrid before the previous international pause.
The club now prepares for an AEK Athens match in the Champions League on Wednesday and a LaLiga game against Valencia on Saturday. The squad recalls a similar pattern from last season. On November 1, 2025, the team managed by Xabi Alonso also won six consecutive matches. That run included wins over Kairat Almaty, Villarreal, Getafe, Juventus, Barcelona, and Valencia.
Last year, the momentum broke after that streak. The team won only two of its next eight games. It dropped from the top of LaLiga to Barcelona and fell to seventh place in the Champions League. Defeats against Liverpool, Celta, and Manchester City contributed to that decline. Mourinho's group now faces these upcoming fixtures with that history in mind.
