The National Hockey League released a new specialty jersey for every franchise on Monday morning, a move that had been anticipated by collectors and fans for months. The league designated the release as the Hometown Remix collection, aiming to incorporate local visual elements into the team uniforms.
While other teams' designs leaked in the days before the official announcement, the Utah Mammoth's jersey remained concealed until the designated release time. The new kit features the Mountain Blue color palette and a logo that many supporters had previously asked the organization to adopt for its primary apparel.
The jerseys are currently available for purchase on the NHL Shop website. Team stores at the Delta Center and the Select Health Ice Center also stock the items. On the league's online platform, a blank jersey is listed for $224.99. Adding a player's name and number increases the price to $274.99.
The Mammoth will debut the new uniform in an upcoming road game against the Montreal Canadiens on Thursday. The team has scheduled at least five appearances in the jersey during the current season. Additional games include a matchup against the St. Louis Blues on November 12, a contest against the Winnipeg Jets on December 2, and a visit from the Calgary Flames on February 12.
The season finale for the specialty jersey is a home game against the Philadelphia Flyers on March 13. All 32 NHL teams released their respective Hometown Remix jerseys simultaneously on Monday. The Mammoth's design was the only one that did not appear in early leaks or premature retail listings.
