Apple TV’s new series 'Ascension' has finalized its main ensemble, with three actors joining the project as series regulars. The addition completes the primary cast for the drama, which is being developed by filmmaker Alfonso Cuarón.

Amanda Plummer, Christopher Chung, and T'Nia Miller are the newest additions to the show. Plummer is recognized for her work in 'Run' and 'Butterfly Kiss.' Chung has appeared in 'Slow Horses' and 'My Brilliant Career.' Miller’s recent credits include 'The Haunting of Bly Manor' and 'VisionQuest.'

The three actors join Caitríona Balfe, who headlines the series, and Bill Nighy, who was recently announced as a star. Specific details regarding the characters they will portray are currently being kept confidential by the production team.

The series is based on the novel 'Last Days' by Adam Nevill. The story follows Rose, a documentary filmmaker played by Balfe, who begins investigating a mysterious 20th-century cult known as the Church of Ascension. She initially finds comfort in the group's teachings but later uncovers a darker reality beneath the surface.

Alfonso Cuarón co-writes the series with his brother Carlos Cuarón, Natalie Erika James, and Christian White. All four writers serve as executive producers. James and White, who previously collaborated on 'Apartment 7A' and 'Relic,' act as co-showrunners, with James also serving as the lead director.

Balfe will executive produce the series alongside her acting role. Cuarón executive produces through his Esperanto Filmoj company, which has an overall deal with Apple. Gabriela Rodriguez and Richard Schwartz represent Esperanto Filmoj as executive producers. Steve Golin, David Levine, and Zack Hayden are executive producers for Anonymous Content, which will produce the show for Apple Studios.
