Houston residents can expect a mix of sun and clouds on Sunday, November 1, according to AccuWeather. The service projects a high temperature of 82 degrees Fahrenheit. Nighttime lows will settle at 70 degrees Fahrenheit.

The heat index, or perceived temperature, will peak at 90 degrees Fahrenheit during the day. It will remain at 90 degrees Fahrenheit during the night. The chance of rain stays low throughout the day, ranging from 1 percent to 7 percent.

Daylight begins at 6:35 a.m. and ends at 5:35 p.m. Wind speeds will reach a maximum of 5.59 mph during the day. Overnight winds will drop to 4.35 mph.

Houston's climate features hot summers and mild winters. Average temperatures range from 49 degrees Fahrenheit in winter to 90 degrees Fahrenheit in summer. June, July, and August are the warmest months. December, January, and February are the coldest.

The city receives an average of 39 inches of precipitation annually. High humidity is common due to the proximity to the Gulf of Mexico. Relative humidity levels typically fluctuate between 50 percent and 90 percent. This humidity makes the air feel warmer than the actual temperature indicates.

Air quality is generally good, though industrial pollution and factory emissions can cause fluctuations. High ozone levels occur during summer months. These conditions can affect people with respiratory diseases.

The city faces moderate risks from natural disasters. Hurricanes and flooding are primary threats. Hurricanes can cause major damage and loss of life. Flooding risks stem from low-lying areas and the nearby Gulf. Tornadoes are less frequent but can still cause property damage and injuries. Emergency protocols exist to manage these events.
