Jay-Z will perform the Super Bowl LXI Halftime Show on Feb. 14, 2027. The NFL, Apple Music, and the artist announced the lineup on Monday. The performance is scheduled for SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
This marks Jay-Z's first time headlining the halftime slot. He has produced these shows since 2019 through his company Roc Nation. The label recently signed a five-year extension to keep producing the event through 2029.
Since Roc Nation took over, the shows have featured more hip-hop acts. Last year's performance in Santa Clara, California, centered on Bad Bunny, with appearances by Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin. Recent headliners include Kendrick Lamar and SZA in 2025, Usher in 2024, and Rihanna in 2023.
Los Angeles has hosted the halftime show before. The 2022 event featured Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar. That show also included cameos by 50 Cent and Anderson .Paak.
Jay-Z is currently on a 30th-anniversary tour for his debut album, Reasonable Doubt. He is also celebrating the 25th anniversary of The Blueprint. The tour began with three nights at Yankee Stadium in July. It then moved to London for two shows and Paris for one in September.
His final scheduled tour dates were Oct. 23 and 24 at SoFi Stadium. Those performances occurred two days before the official announcement of his halftime slot.
