St. Felix Pantry delivered food and essential supplies to three New Mexico communities this week. The organization sent aid to residents in Counselor, Nageezi, and Cuba who were cut off by severe weather.

The storms caused washed-out dirt roads, impassable routes, and damaged water lines. These conditions left some elderly residents without running water. Local officials expressed concern over access to safe drinking water, food, and other necessities.

Tim Sheahan, the pantry’s president and CEO, coordinated the response. The team organized drives to gather and transport items to the affected areas. The pantry stated the effort reflects its commitment to working alongside community partners.

The organization also asked for support from local members, businesses, and organizations. It requested donations of shelf-stable food, bottled water, essential supplies, and funds for future emergency responses.

The Sandoval County Commission declared a disaster for the northern part of the county during an emergency meeting. This declaration occurred in the same week St. Felix Pantry provided its aid.

The pantry continues to operate beyond its Rio Rancho borders to serve neighbors in need. It maintains its mission of providing direct assistance during local crises.
