Alfredo Ríos, known professionally as El Komander, canceled a concert scheduled for October 31 in Hidalgo, Nuevo León, following the death of his youngest son. The musician announced the loss on October 30 via social media, identifying the child as José Eliseo Ríos Ávila, who was only a few months old.
Ríos’s team released a memorial notice featuring a photo of the singer with the infant. The written tribute asked for divine light to guide José Eliseo toward eternal life and offered comfort to the family with the promise of reunion in the presence of the Lord.
Early on October 31, El Komander posted a short video taken inside the funeral home. The clip showed floral wreaths arranged for the wake. In the recording, he said, "God take you, little one, we love you very much."
The artist’s management confirmed that the performance in Hidalgo would not take place due to the family’s loss. They asked the audience for understanding, stating that the primary goal was to give the family the necessary space to process their grief.
As of the latest update, the specific cause of death has not been disclosed. The circumstances surrounding the infant’s passing remain unknown to the public.
