María Alicia Delgado died on November 4. Her will names her only son, Rafael, as her universal heir. The document establishes a dual guardianship system to manage his financial affairs.

An actor and close friend of the late comedian disclosed the terms of the will in a statement provided to Televisa Espectáculos. He explained that the estate appointed one administrator for the house and another for general financial management. "They appointed, I don’t know, an executor for her house and an executor for the administration, so he lacks nothing," the actor said.

Rafael, who has had a hearing deficiency since infancy, retains ownership of the property and funds. However, the guardians will oversee the spending. "He gets by perfectly well, but administratively they will watch the money. He is the owner of the house and the money María left," the actor added.

In October 2025, Delgado told TVNotas that she continued working to support her son. She noted that Rafael was finishing a degree in Graphic Design. "Between university and his hearing aids, it is expensive," she said at the time. She explained that she could not retire while he still needed financial support for his education and medical devices.

The actress previously described Rafael as a "miracle" on the program Montse & Joe. He was born at five months of gestation and spent three months in intensive care. The medications used during that period caused his hearing loss. "He was left deaf by the medication, but count it as not important because the guy is, oh my, 'sweetheart,' I am paying for all of it," Delgado recalled.

Rafael uses high-power hearing aids that improve his ability to hear, though the devices are costly. Following his mother’s death, Yodi Marcos, the ex-wife of Carlos Bonavides, stepped in to support him. Marcos, who maintained a close friendship with Delgado, spoke to reporters on the morning of November 5 after a mass for the deceased.

Marcos stated that Rafael was her late friend’s main concern. "I promised that I will be watching over him. Thank God with Rafa, with the years we have had of coexistence, there has always been a closeness, he sees me as his mother too," she said. Addressing the media, she introduced Rafael by saying, "Now I present you to my son."
